The Steel Box Cab body was designed to solve a problem that many owners of the Plum Cove Generic Electric were experiencing. Many found that the body on the Plum Cove, which is made from 1/4" luan panelling, had a tendency to crack, chip, or break. The easy fix was to build a replicate of the stock body from steel. While a large percentage of the Plum Cove bodies have been replaced, there are still more to go.
